2 Octave C# Ionian Scale
Here we look at a 2 Octave C# Ionian scale. Remember that Ionian is identical to the major scale. Rather than just playing the notes, try to think of the pitches you're playing. Compared to the C major scale, every note is sharpened. i.e.:
C#-D#-E#-F#-G#-A#-B#
In this video, we play this scale using a box pattern that is very common on the guitar and easy to transpose. Observe the one-finger-per-fret fingering.
