2 Octave D Ionian Scale
Here is a 2 octave D Ionian scale. The Ionian mode is identical to the major scale. D major is a very common key on the guitar, so this scale will be especially useful. Here it is played in 9th position. A lot of guitar solos are played in this part of the neck.
