Diatonic Intervals in E
Here we look at diatonic intervals in E major in the second octave. The key of E contains the notes E, F#, G#, A, B, C#, and D#.
When we're dealing with intervals larger than an octave, notice that some intervals can be labelled in two different ways:
- major 9th (also called "compound major 2nd")
- major 10th (also called "compound major 3rd")
- perfect 11th (also called "compound perfect 4th")
- perfect 12th (also called "compound perfect 5th") This video is premium content that is restricted to our members only. Sign up today to get access!
