In this video, we play a G# Dorian scale in 3rds. If the Dorian scale is new to you, watch this video first to understand how a Dorian scale is constructed. The G# Dorian scale would commonly be used over chord ii in the key of F# major. This key might be a little unusual, but as with many other scale patterns, this fingering pattern can easily be moved to different places on the fingerboard.
