Octave from 4th string – example F

Octave from 4th string - example F
Octave Relation. Here we play an octave from F on the 4th string to F on the 2nd string. We start using our pinky finger for the higher note, since there is now a two-fret gap between the two notes. Again, make sure to etch these root notes into your memory visually as this will help you when we build chords. Think of the root of a chord as the "carpet" for everything sounding on top of it.
