Octave from 6th string - example G - This video shows you the relation between a G octave on the 6th and 4th string.
Notice that they are both the same sounding notes with one sounding lower and the other one sounding higher.
Be aware that they are both the same notes though. Use your index finger and ring finger. Index finger comes on the 3rd fret 6th string and ring finger on the 5th fret 4th string . . .
