Repeating neighbor note lick - This lick uses a repeating upper and lower neighbor note motif. It's similar to the neighbor note lick which also uses a four-note cell containing an upper neighbor note and a lower chromatic neighbor note. In this lick however, Bireli creates a sense of insistence by repeating the same idea several times, rather than moving the cells through an arpeggio as he does in the neighbor note lick . . .
